On the beta site there is a 3.2.2 which says for USB 2.0 devices only. Im currently running 1.8.128.0 which seems fine.

If that works oK, make a backup then add other apps, plugins etc. Note that Scarlett 2i2 is a USB 2.0 device, and thus the USB connection requires a USB 2.0+ compliant port on your computer. Pick the few drivers really needed and do not let Windows update just run and mangle the system. IMPORTANT: The Scarlett 2i2 has a single USB 2.0 Type C port (on the rear panel): connect it to your computer using the USB cable provided.
If all else looks bleak it can often be a good idea to just bite the bullet and grab a spare disk partition or whole drive and do a full clean Windows install there and try installing ILM, pro tools and the minimum needed drivers there (e.g. Make sure you do *not* have the 2i2 selected as the Windows sound device.
